The motionball Fall Classic presented by IDC Financial is a scramble tournament held on September 24th, 2010. Golfers compete for the (somewhat) legendary Fall Classic Cup in a team competition for lowest net score. Thank you to IDC Financial, our Title Sponsor for motionball’s Fall Classic Golf Tournament.
As much a social gathering as a golf tournament, the Fall Classic is a chance for our supporters to get together for a few final hours on the links before hanging up the clubs for the winter.

Friday September 24, 2010
11:00 – 12:30 Registration; Complimentary Driving Range and Putting Green, and live band Escalade.
12:30 – 12:45 Welcome and General Announcements regarding tournament rules at golf carts + boxed lunch.
12:45 – 12:55 Head out to assigned starting holes
1:00 Shot Gun Start- North and South
1:00 – 5:45 Golf Tournament
5:45 – 6:30pm Awards Ceremony and Complimentary Appetizers in the tent (short and sweet!) – Cash bar and a live performance by the band Escalade.
6:30pm SAFE TRAVELS HOME!
Join us for an after party at 10pm at a bar downtown.
Tournament Rules
The golf tournament will be a Scramble format and will be played from the Tournament tees for men and the red tees for the ladies. In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. Please note that we will require a minimum of 3 drives per player.
You may lift, clean and place the ball, but not improve the lie by moving from rough to fairway or bunker to grass, etc. And your ball must be placed within 1 clubs length of the selected ball.
When putting, all players must putt from the same spot.
If a team has only 3 players, same rules apply with the following amendments: each member must contribute a minimum of 4 drives; and on a rotational hole by hole basis, one member of the team may take an extra shot.
In order to level the playing field for all golfers we are introducing a handicap factor to the event. The handicap division for each player will be based upon their individual handicap:
motionball HANDICAP DIVISIONS (for each member of your team):
0 – 8 handicap = 1 stroke added to your score
9 – 17 handicap = 0 strokes added to your score
18 + handicap = 1 stroke removed from your score
Team Example:
Player 1 – individual handicap of 12 = 0
Player 2 – individual handicap of 4 = +1
Player 3 – individual handicap of 6 = +1
Player 4 – individual handicap of 18 = -1
Team Total = +1
Total motionball Team Handicap results in 1 stroke being added to your teams final score!
